Our Village
Our village is located next to Lambarene in Central Gabon. It is a typical small Bwiti village with a temple, a stone house with 4 rooms and a kitchen and 2 shacks with some smaller buildings used during the ceremonies.
Our village is home to a growing Bwiti community and we see those joining an iboga ceremony to be future community members.
Unlike ayahuasca or a peyote ceremony, especially like the ones in the west where you participate to cleanse yourself and leave never to be seen again, a Bwiti ceremony is something different. You partake because you feel the urge or call to dive deep within yourself and clear all those blockages and ego structures that hold you back from your true life's potential, but also to connect or reconnect to your spiritual roots in the form of a community.
So it is very important to choose the right village/spiritual community, as this bond is a deep bond that lasts a lifetime. Also for us, we will literally see you as one of our children after you have completed a full initiation.
So what do you need to know and what is nice to know about our village?
Well, first of all, it is a village that is being upgraded as we speak. Because in the past most of our visitors were from Gabon, the requirements for mosquito protection, food, and lodging are different than those who visit us from abroad.
Upgrade in progress - june 2025
This meant we had to upgrade the village to make it more suitable for western visitors. This upgrade included making all sleeping quarters mosquito-proof and having a sitting and resting place in the garden mosquito-proof plus inside the temple a mosquito-proof area. A lot of information on how we did this can be found under the section mosquito protection.
Also, the water needed to be upgraded to top-quality drinking water, including the water from the shower. This is accomplished through a pipeline of 500 meters into the forest next to a small river that has a collector tank of 30.000 liters of clean water as it comes directly from the earth. So this water is already clean by itself but has another 5-step filtration including a strong UV light to make sure all our water is of top quality. The filters are being replaced every 6 months.
Also, a good toilet and shower and washing machine were part of the upgrade.
Because it gets very warm during the wet season, we are planning to make 2 rooms fitted with silent air conditioning. Silent because we want to hear the night songs of the crickets and no machine sounds.
This all is being done and completed by 2025 - see our projects section. Also a biological garden is being constructed as well as a chickencoop where the eggs will come from.
with more than 1200 pots with new fruit trees, and also vegies and vines, it all is in full motion - june 2025
Another upgrade we are waiting for is the Starlink satellite internet. There is already wifi available, but with starlink all who are here have free broadband internet.
Starlink should be available somewhere in 2024
Solar panels, a new dissumba temple, a hidden bat cave in the forest, and many other projects are in the pipeline.
All in all, we want to make our village as comfortable as possible for those arriving from the west.

Our village is a sanctuary of love, care, and warmth. In a world where many prioritize material concerns, we choose to embrace a more heartfelt and nurturing approach. This gentle strength sets us apart, providing a healing journey with iboga that is not only profound but enveloped in compassion and understanding. Here, you'll find a unique depth of healing, fostered by a community that genuinely cares.
Hence we are known for our authentic, open-hearted and caring iboga ceremonies in Gabon and abroad.
We provide a variety of initiation experiences. However, for your safety and ours, we require participants to have completed a previous initiation with us before they can undertake the Dissumba and Niembe initiations. This is because we care and want to be sure you can physically and mentally handle the dissumba and Niembe initiation as they are very demanding.
Unlike ayahuasca, peyote, or other plant medicines, these iboga initiations are meant to be done once in a lifetime. Now obviously you can continue using iboga in lesser quantities or microdosing to continue the process, but a good initiation should take care of most of the garbage. If you want to go deeper or have the desire to become nima yourself, more ceremonies are possible.
We use fresh iboga, also something that is different from most other modern Bwiti groups and communities. Fresh iboga is the best for a couple of reasons. First, it is easier to swallow, and it numbs the taste buds, so you can eat more easily. Second, the process is shorter and deeper with the same results if not better than dried iboga. This was and is the original way of preparing iboga for ceremonies. We have found our ways to ensure we have top-quality fresh 20+ year-old iboga bushes that we use for our ceremonies.

Now under about us you can find many of our community members, and we are working with our own children to bring them to a level of good English and also have them support me in the ceremonies, such as learning the ngombi harp and mungongo string instrument. But this is a work in progress. For now, we hire translators and musicians.
Another project we are working on is building a new path through the forest to the river, filled with iboga bushes. So, you can enjoy a relaxing swim in the river by walking through a forest of iboga and being surrounded by it at the river resting place. "River" might be a generous term, as it is more a small stream of water with an enlarged opening at the resting place.
Our cooling down and resting place in the water
We have two other paths to the river, and the one leading to the beginning of the river is used for our ceremonies.
If you enjoy the resting place in the water, it is best to do so without clothes. It is our property, so your privacy is ensured. Please ensure you use biodegradable and environmentally friendly soap, such as Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile Liquid Soap
There is already a path made, but because few people use it grass and other jungle greens are starting to block it again, so work in progress.
We hope you will enjoy our village and have your body, mind, and spirit resetted during our ceremonies, transforming it into an open channel for life and love to flow through and be shared with the rest of the world.
